I’ve been writing stories since childhood. As a teenager, I decided to study Literature with Creative Writing for my degree, and went on to receive a first from the University of East Anglia. For my dissertation, I wrote a short story about the relationship between Vita Sackville-West and Virginia Woolf, which explored mental health and queer female love.
Since university, I’ve been writing adventure-filled YA speculative novels. My work features #ownvoices queer women on escapades of all kinds – from magical journeys to thrilling space explorations. I’m currently working on the third draft of a young adult sci-fi novel (abbreviated title TSSBU), planning a fantasy to draft later this year, and have other projects on the back-burner!
If you want to know more about my writing, I sometimes have time to share videos about it on YouTube, on my channel PhoebeWoodWrites!
